Lightnin has also played and recorded with Cedric Burnside, R.L. Burnside, Junior Kimbrough, Paul Wine Jones, Mississippi All Stars, and Tab Benoit.
Robert Kimbrough Sr., Straight outta Holly Springs Mississippi, born under the sign of the blues Robert is the youngest son of Cotton Patch Blues Legend Junior Kimbrough.
Junior Kimbrough was the first person who gave RL an opportunity to plays his “style” at his Juke Joint in Chulahoma, Mississippi. Robert will share his father’s guitar techniques which creates the hypnotic sounds of Cotton Patch Soul Blues.
Brian Hurd NYC’s premiere Blues hound, who blows a mean harp fronts super hip downtown trio Daddy Long Leggs, and Howlin’ Hurd and The House Rockers. Daddy Long Leggs is very popular in Europe, and recently returned to Australia, and toured Japan. Brian is endorsed by Hohner Harmonica.
Brother Tito Deler aka Harlem Slim Uptown sharp dressed Bluesman who plays a steel body National Resonator guitar. Drawn to the Mississippi Delta blues of Willie Brown, Son House, Skip James. Tito has played with various Mississippi bluesfolk such as R.L. Boyce, Jimmy “Duck” Holmes and Leo “Bud” Welch who have mentored and embraced him as one of their own. He has played in a few Jukes and Festivals in the South including the Bentonia Blues Festival.

A dynamic multi projector video collage presentation of R.L.’s remarkable life created by Brooklyn NY artist Amy Verdon, who was a personal friend to Rl for 10 years, and represented Mr. Boyce for the last seven years of his life. Released two CD’s, one BOOGIE w/ RL BOYCE Live, nominated for BMAward, produced the R.L. BOYCE PICNIC from 2018-2023, and nominated R.L. BOYCE for the NEA National Heritage Fellowship. She is your host for the event. Amy is FANCY!

Within the Black community Juke Joints were common spaces that emerged within a space were people gathered to create good times. A place where one could leave their cares behind experience healing music in an accepting space with good food, corn liquor, where one could renew one’s self.
R.L. was known for allowing anyone up to play. His improvisational simple repetitive style encourages the musician’s jam. Special guests Harmony Bartz Love, Dave Dawson, Tucky Parkis, Ms. Slide Guitar Wendy Jean Garrison , and more.

Sharde Thomas Rising Stars Fife & Drum Band Sharde is the granddaughter of Otha Turner, R.L. Boyce’s uncle. R.L began his musical odyssey in 1970 at age 15 as a drummer in his uncle’s Fife and Drum band. Sharde carries on one of the oldest traditions of American Blues music, a Fife and Drum marching band. This style of music are the seeds of all American pop music. Sharde appears on the soundtrack to the wildly successful film “Sinners”.
New Moon Acoustic Blues New York City’s duo the powerful, who play emotional sounds of America in the early 1900s. Singer-guitarist Karl Schwarz fluent in styles growing out of the Mississippi Delta and the Piedmont, as well as traditional gospel and spirituals. David A. Barnes blows a mean harmonica, a member group Memphis Blood.
